Since its debut early this year, Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment’s Life is Strange drew players into the world of Maxine Caulfield and her newly-discovered powers of manipulating time, and now her story will continue with the series’ fourth episode releasing on the horizon.

Publisher Square Enix released the new trailer for Life is Strange: Episode 4, titled “Dark Room,” which continues the storyline of Maxine, Chloe, and the trials awaiting them in life at Blackwell Academy, and with the new episode releasing next week.

Following an emotional conclusion to the previous episode, Maxine will have to pick up the pieces of prior events as a synopsis for Episode 4 details:

“Max realizes that changing the past can lead to painful consequences and that time is not a great healer. Her investigation into the disappearance of Rachel Amber begins to reach a thrilling conclusion as she finds the Dark Room. Will the answers lie within? Or will there just be trouble?”

In addition to next week’s release of Episode 4, Square Enix also revealed that since its debut in January of this year, Life is Strange has reached one million in sales across all platforms, with the publisher citing “this is a huge achievement for the small team working on the game” at Dontnod Entertainment.

Life is Strange is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, with Episode 4 set to debut starting July 28th, 2015 – in the meantime, you can check out the launch trailer for “Dark Room” below:
