Limbo Developer PlayDead Confirms Xbox One-Exclusive Inside Delayed from Early 2015

Following the studio’s successful debut with Limbo back in 2010, independent developer PlayDead have been quietly working on the game’s follow-up, an Xbox One exclusive titled Inside: while the game received its debut at last year’s E3 2014, it appears the wait for it will take slightly longer than anticipated.

Developer PlayDead confirmed to IGN in a statement that following the originally-intended release of early 2015, the studio’s Inside has been delayed from release in the early part of 2015, with the current timeframe for the game’s release unknown at this point. Developer PlayDead provided an email statement on the title’s delay, mentioning:

“Last year we announced that INSIDE would be out in ‘early 2015’. It’s not!

“After 5 years in development, we, more than anyone, are looking forward to the release. We are so close, but getting it right has taken a little more time than we anticipated.”

Inside is currently in development exclusively for Xbox One, with the game’s release date currently unknown.
