Lineage II Goes Free to Play, Heads to Europe

on October 12, 2011 1:30 PM

NCsoft announced today that Lineage II will follow the example of other veteran MMORPGs and adopt a hybrid business model that will allow players to access the game for free, with an optional subscription. Details on the specifics of the service will be released soon.

In addition to this, ten years after it’s launch, the game will finally see an official release in Europe, thanks to the partnership with the Russian publisher Innova, that already lets the game play you in Soviet Russia.

The new European website is already open. European players that already play on the North American servers handled by NCsoft West need not worry, as they will still be able to play there after the European version launches.
