Anyone can tell you that what helps make a video game is all in the music. For those who played Bioshock Infinite would know that the scenes of the floating city, breathtaking architecture really wouldn’t be the same without the haunting alternate versions of classic songs.

Thanks to Irrational Games we are privy to original takes of the songs used in extended songs of Burial at Sea.

Community Manager IG., posted three full songs from Burial At Sea Episodes One and Two, providing the story of how each song came about and which musical styles influenced the songs. Among the selections is a promotional jingle for the Old Man Winter plasmid, which sounds like an old-time radio ad.

Bioshock Infinite: Burial At Sea Episode One will release November 12th for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

You can listen to the full takes of each song below.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
