Following the announcement of the western release from the North American branch of Bandai Namco on Saturday, today the European arm of the company followed up with its own announcement, confirming a release in the Old Continent in early 2018.

Alongside the announcement, we get the first trailer subtitled in English, allowing you to easily understand what protagonist Akko says in the narration.

For those who aren't familiar with the title, Little Witch Academia is an anime franchise that started in Japan with a short anime movie in 2013, followed by a one-shot manga. In 2015 its popularity grew esponentially due to the Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade feature film funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign (that quadrupled its initial goal, gathering $625,518 in pledges), followed in 2017 by a 25 episode TV series. The series has also been made available worldwide by Netflix.

The anime franchise is was originally created by Studio Trigger, which is well known for Kill la Kill, and also worked on games before, producing the animation for the first Project X Zone.
