Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut Is Creeping to PS4 and Wii U This Week

You would never think that a 2D sidescroller would create such a chilling atmosphere to the point where your palms sweat and anxiety ensues. I mean, how many of these have we played in the years we’ve been gaming? This is what Lone Survivor — an independent survival horror created by Superflat Games originally for PC and Mac — pretty much does. And if you haven’t had the opportunity to experience the eerie world of Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut on the PS Vita or PS3 recently, now is the opportune moment to grab it for either PS4 or Wii U.

PS4 users in the United States will be able to purchase the game via PSN on October 14th, with access coming to European users on October 15th. If you’re a proud owner of a Wii U, you’ll be able to grab this game on October 16th. All versions of the game will cost you $9.99, which I would easily encourage to any survival-horror fans.

For those of you who have the game already on PS3/Vita, know that this next-gen “port” does not include any new features. Additionally, for those who do buy it on the PS4, please note that this version is not cross-buy compatible.

One thing I will add to those looking to grab Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut is that the game is much more intimidating when playing with headphones. And, yes, I say grab this game if you haven’t already.
