Lord of the Rings Online’s New Update Includes a “Dungeon Finder”

on November 15, 2011 9:00 PM

In the upcoming “Update 5”, which is really just a huge patch to complete the Rise of Isengard expansion for the game, which launched in a rather lackluster state as far as content goes, The Lord of the Rings Online will be introducing a concept that is plenty familiar to most MMO players – a “dungeon finder”. This basically allows players to get automatically placed in a group for a dungeon instance according to their class, spec and what dungeons they want to do.

Other MMOs have had such a feature for a while, so as to not be left out, Turbine will be introducing it along with an addition five dungeons to the game with this new update. In one of the dungeons you’ll even be able to face Saruman himself, although likely not in combat, because you would get beat down. The update will also include the new book (epic storyline) quest “The Prince of Rohan” and, of course, include bunches of other cool things to check out.
