Los Angeles to Host Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Concert Tonight

on October 21, 2011 2:30 PM

We already caught wind that Nintendo has promised that there will be a Legend of Zelda concert tour next year during Satoru Iwata’s presentation this morning, and you can click here to check it out if you missed it. That’s great news for everyone who was in awe at E3 this year of the orchestra playing all the Zelda tunes. However, to add more musical fun for those in the Los Angeles area, the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. will play host to the Legend of Zelda 25h anniversary concert today.

Tonight at 8pm, fans will be treated to a performance by a 70-piece orchestra and live choir as they play Zelda themes that span a quarter-century of games. The whole thing will be produced by Jason Paul Productions, Inc., producers of the renowned PLAY! A Video Game Symphony concert series, and they will also be the ones heading up the full tour in 2012.

Expect to see people in cosplay, hear awesome tunes, and an all-around celebration of one of the greatest videogame series of all time. Those in the area still may have time to get to this thing. For us not fortunate enough to be there, we can start planning now for next year.
