Scans of the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine have revealed the Mad Hatter as Batman's newest villain in his upcoming game, Batman: Arkham Origins. The Mad Hatter was last seen in Batman: Arkham City as an optional villain who did not need to be defeated in order to advance the plot. The character has been largely absent from the comics ever since the start of DC's New 52 relaunch. Since the announcement of Mad Hatter is not yet official, we do not know how large or small a role he will play in Origins. However, having him and his henchmen plastered all over the inside of OXM could be indicative of a prominent presence in the game this time around.

Batman: Arkham Origins is being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on October 25th, 2013. A Vita version of the game, Batman: Arkham Origins – Blackgate, is also in development by Armature Studio and will be released on the same day.
