Magic: The Gathering – Tactics Will Close Its Virtual Doors In March

on October 19, 2013 7:00 PM

Sony Online Entertainment’s has announced on its forum, Magic: The Gathering – Tactics will shut down March 28th.

Unfortunately the post does not include a reason for the shutdown, however, it does state SOE “determined … to discontinue game services” with partner Wizards of the Coast. SOE will hold onto all of the game’s code and data and will not license an emulator or fan-operated server.

In addition to this, the game’s forums and websites will close as well. No new card packs will be sold past Nov. 18, 2013, though all current decks players have will be accessible through the game’s end. Station Cash will still be operable in other SOE games.

Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
