In the wake of grim and gritty titles releasing left and right, the Magicka series has always been known for taking things a little bit into the absurd - case in point, a brand new trailer revealing the sequel's release date that may or may not bear a certain resemblance to a wildly-popular HBO fantasy television series.

In a new trailer and post, publisher Paradox Interactive revealed that Magicka 2 will release on May 26th, 2015 for PS4 and PC, with the company detailing pre-order bonuses and the game's digital deluxe editions, along with a fun trailer revealing the release date and showing additional gameplay.

Alongside the new gameplay footage and trailer, Paradox also revealed that those who pre-order the game will be granted access to a special Sneak Peek Weekend with three other friends, and the exclusive "Headmaster Robe" set. Orders of the game's digital deluxe edition set will unlock the "Warlord Robe" and "Cultist Robe" sets, while also including a special digital interactive map and the game's original orchestral soundtrack.
