Major Nelson Walks Players Through Ryse: Son of Rome SmartGlass Feature in New Video

In a new video, Larry Hryb (aka Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson), walks players through the SmartGlass feature for Andriod, iOS and Windows 8 PCs using Ryse: Son of Rome.

In order to start, boot up the SmartGlass app for any of those systems mentioned above, navigate to Ryse and launch. Some nifty features of the game include a statistics list that shows which friends are playing Ryse, how long, kill streak and more.

A really cool feature is Timeline, which tracks in real-time where the player is in the campaign mode–this means that no navigation is necessary as SmartGlass knows what information to display at the right time. This is handy because players can actually open up videos that showcase where each of the levels’ secret collectables are located.

The app is where all the collectables are housed, such as concept art, themes, comic pages, etc. The News section keeps players up to date on the happenings of the game. Finally, exclusive to the app is the inspiration for Ryse book that’s exactly what it says on the tin.

Check out the video posted below for more details on SmartGlass and Ryse: Son of Rome.
