“Man at Arms” Forgers Recreate Link’s Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda Series

The master forgers in the Youtube series Man at Arms: Reforged have decided to revisit The Legend of Zelda and pair up the previously created Master Sword with the equally famous Hylian Shield.

They start with a piece of sheet metal and mold it in the rough shape of the shield, then use the process of “Planishing” in order to smooth and shape it even further. Real amber was actually used for the decals, as it has a lovely iridescent shine to it.

The final product turned out as beautiful as you’d imagine; you can watch the full process in the video below.
