“Man at Arms” Master Forger Recreates Auron’s Katana from Final Fantasy X

Master forgers at “Man at Arms” took on the challenge of recreating the massive katana wielded by Final Fantasy X‘s Legendary Guardian Auron in their latest project.

The forgers start by taking three billets to make the katana’s jacket. What’s interesting is that even though the weapon is large, the forgers are still using the technique of making traditional Japanese swords by folding and refolding the metal.

The video spans about 11 minutes and it’s quite fascinating seeing such a fine weapon being crafted. Check out the video below for the full process.
