Man Factory’s Street Fighter 2 Rock Opera Concludes with Street Fight!!! Round Three

on January 26, 2014 3:35 PM

What originally started as a joke, resulted in a six-year journey no one could have ever imagined. Indie music group Man Factory just ended their task of translating the universe and characters of Street Fighter 2 into a rock opera. Yup, a rock opera.

Street Fight tells the story (in three albums) of Chun-Li and Ken, separate tales but intertwined with all twelve of the game’s playable characters. In this twisted tale of vocal supremacy, Chun-Li seeks revenge on M. Bison for the death of her father, while Ken is chopping and kicking his way through emotional problems related to his girlfriend’s affair with bestie Ryu.

You can listen to all three albums on their bandcamp page or right below and if you like what you hear, you can purchase Street Fight!!! Round Three or the other two albums (Street Fight!!! Round One and Street Fight!!! Round Two) for $7 each.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been playing video games since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate about video games and films often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
