After being briefly featured in a sizzle reel during the Nintendo Switch presentation livestream from TokyoMario Kart 8 Deluxe got its own trailer, showcasing the announcement that was surprisingly low key.

On top of all the content present in the original and its DLC, this version of Mario Kart 8 includes a reworked battle mode, the Inklings, King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Junior as new racers, and some new items from older entries in the series such as Boo and the Feather.

A further new element is that players will be able to hold onto two items at the same time.

You can watch the trailer below. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe comes out on April 28.
