Mario Kart 8 Goes Bananas With New Trailer and Screenshots, Footage of 16 New Tracks and Plenty of Gameplay

Those waiting for a first glimpse at some of the big titles expected for Wii U this year are in for a treat, especially those that happen to be big Mario Kart fans.

In a series of trailers and videos released by Nintendo this morning, fans of the long-running and super popular racing series have much to look forward to for Mario Kart 8, as a new trailer shows off many of the new features to expect in the latest edition of the mascot racer for Wii U.

In addition to the new trailer, a selection of new screenshots were also included, followed by  lengthy series of videos from Official Nintendo Magazine featuring the reveal of a good chunk of the game’s racing tracks, with 16 new maps revealed for the Mushroom, Flower, Shell, and Banana Cups, with walkthroughs of each map provided along with a first look.

Mario Kart 8 releases for Wii U on May 30th, 2014 – in the meantime, you can check out the new screenshots from the game below, followed by the new trailer and walkthrough videos of the new tracks:
