Today, a new trailer/video of Mario Kart Arcade GP VR has surfaced, providing another look at everyone's favorite kart racer with a virtual reality twist.

For those that don't know: back on June 13th Bandai Namco announced a new arcade focused on virtual reality gaming. The arcade is poised to open-up in Japan next month, with a plan to open similar arcades overseas, starting with London later in the summer.

The arcades will use the HTC Vive headsets and will look to combine the style of playing video games of yesteryear with one of the future ways of play.

Mario Kart has featured in arcades in the past, but those were just mere regular arcades: not virtual reality arcades. This new experience -- which is notably not in development by Nintendo itself -- will offer a new way to experience the iconic series and allow you to get up close and personal to Toad before you smash his face with a banana peel.

Not much is known about the game at the moment, but we do know that players will be able to actually pick up turtle shells and banana skins that appear on the track and throw them.
