Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games is one of the longest titles for any video game I have ever seen, and is the fourth in the Mario & Sonic franchise, which dates back to 2007's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, which launched on the Wii.

Sochi 2014 will add a variety of new events and will utilize the Wii U's gamepad functionality in addition to the now-standard motion controls. This will be the first title in the series that Nintendo will completely publish by themselves, and the first to incorporate online multi-player.

DualShockers had a chance to preview the game at this year's NYCC 2013. We found the game to be satisfactory, but still lacking in key areas. You can check out our preview here.

Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games was developed by Sega Sports Japan and will be published by Nintendo for the Wii U today and on December 5th, 2013 in North America and Japan, respectively. The game is already out in Europe and Australia. You can check out the launch trailer below.
