Marvel Studios and Telltale Games to Partner for Console Title in 2017

on April 23, 2015 8:00 PM

Marvel Studios has teamed up with Telltale Games (developer of The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us and more).

Executive Producer Jones stated the following before announcing the partnership:

We’ve been busy. It takes a long time to find the right partner. We have one special game we’re excited about.

He delved into how important authenticity is to Marvel, as well as being a “sexy” game (in this case the term refers to an “exciting” or “intriguing” game):

If it doesn’t turn heads, if it doesn’t get you excited to talk with your friends, it’s not a Marvel game. It has to command attention.

He cited existing games like Spider-Man Unlimited and Contest of Champions on mobile as shining examples of this concept.

No other details on the title have been revealed at this time.
