This year has been quite a year for fighting games, starting with the excellent Tekken 7 and Injustice 2 up until the recently-released Pokkén Tournament DXWith that said, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is trying to set itself as the definitive fighting game of 2017, starting with the action-packed trailer seen below.

Dabbling in a little bit of story, gameplay, and oh-so-awesome super abilities, the Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite launch trailer should get any Marvel or Capcom fan foaming at the mouth -- it's been way too long since we've seen Mega Man alongside Iron Man. The trailer also goes on to detail some of the components and features purchasers can expect in the game.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is launching with 30 characters (regrettably lacking X-Men and Phoenix Wright) and a slew of different single player and arcade modes. Only recently the first batch of DLC characters were revealed, which will include Monster Hunter, Winter Soldier, Black Widow, and Venom.

The star-studded fighting game debuted at PlayStation Experience 2016 -- after more than a few leaks, both before and after the game was revealed. Since then, Capcom has managed to keep the game mostly under wraps, only letting out the occasional trailer, tutorial, and screenshots.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One -- check out the launch trailer, below:
