Players interested in the upcoming PS3 re-release of Mass Effect 2 just scored another incentive. The game will feature launch day DLC, but not the pricey kind that makes you feel like the developer pulled a fast one. This launch DLC is absolutely free! So what do you get aside from a consummate version of our 2010 Game of the Year? The Terminus Armor and an M-490 Blackstorm Projector.

The armor adds an array of status buffs including movement speed and ammo capacity, and the Blackstorm Projector fires off black holes. So yeah. Players will be able to download this content free of charge from the January 18th launch until February 23rd, after which you'll have to pay. This same content was a pre-order bonus for the PC and Xbox 360 release of the game last year. Check out our review of the Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 2 here.
