Mass Effect 4 Is “Borrowing” From Dragon Age: Inquisition For Faster Development

on June 20, 2013 1:25 PM

In response to a picture on Twitter posted by BioWare Montreal’s studio director Yanick Roy of a large “design document” for the next Mass Effect game, fans were worried the game would be years away.

In response, Roy answered:

To clarify another fan’s inquiry, he also added:

This is not a huge surprise, since many studios that share similar franchises (or at least franchises with similar mechanics) tend to share and tweak in-house engines for multiple purposes (like say Naughty Dog wit hthe Uncharted series and The Last of Us). If this means we can get a taste of the next Mass Effect even faster, than why not make the process easier?

As to what was inside the large document, including details on the next Mass Effect‘s story, Roy humorously responded:

What do you think the next Mass Effect game will be about? And are you excited for Dragon Age: Inquisition?

[Thanks, IGN]
