The launch of Mass Effect Andromeda has been a bit underwhelming for many, but BioWare has gone right to work to improve the game, and quite a lot has been done to address some of the initial issues. Today, the developer and Electronic Arts are inviting gamers to give it a try for free.

A ten hour-long demo has been launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC, basically equivalent to what was available as an early access for EA Access and Origin Access subscribers. The trial allows you to play the first planet of the game (the desert planet Eos) in single player, multiplayer up to a total of ten hours.

Whatever progression you achieve during the demo will then carry over to the full game should you decide to make the purchase.

The demo is available here for PC, here for PS4, and here for Xbox One . Of course, you have to select the free trial option, because the page is the same as the purchase for the full demo.

If you want to read more about the game, you can read our review, but do keep in mind that it's about the launch version of the game, and updates have been made since, including the latest patch 1.09 and patch 1.08, that lets male Ryder romance Jaal, even if you won't get that far in the demo.
