Mass Effect: Andromeda Gets New Trailer Focused on Your Squad, Profiles, and Favorites.

Today, developer BioWare released the second trailer (you can watch the first one here) in its new Mass Effect: Andromeda’s gameplay series, focusing in on the game’s profiles, favorites, and your squad.

The trailer begins by talking about leveling up, specifically how you as you level up you will gain access to over 300 skills in the game. As previously detailed, you are allowed to pick any skill without class restriction.

As you unlock skills throughout the game you will also begin to gain access to profiles, in which there are seven types: soldier, engineer, adept, sentinel, vanguard, infiltrator, and explorer. The more you invest in the skills within a profile, the more higher level profiles you can unlock. Additionally, you can swap your profiles around at every time, allowing you to keep the action fresh, giving you a number of ways to tackle a a battle, and making sure you never feel locked to one playstyle.

The trailer then transitions to favorites. Favorites are a quick way to map three skills and one profile to one slot. Anytime during combat, you can switch between four slots, giving you access to 12 of your favorite skills during a single fight.

Lastly, the trailer takes a look at your squad. Each of your six squad-mates has 3 active and 2 passive skills. In a battle, you can use markers to set up your squad in certain positions, ordering them to defend locations, attack targets, or rally to your side. You can also team up with them from devastating Power Combos.

Power Combos activate when one of your squad-mates (or you) primes an enemy, or group of enemies, setting them up for the kill, then you or a squadmate jumps in to detonate or finish the job. You can also level up your squad-mates to make them specifically good in certain areas.

You can check all of this out, and more, via the trailer at the bottom of the article.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is slated to release on March 21, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
