During Nvidia's keynote from CES in Las Vegas, BioWare presented a brand new video look at the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda running on a PC powered by a GTX 1080 video card.

The video showcases part of the Asari companion Peebee's loyalty's mission, including a new planet covered in rock and lava, some rather threatening enemies, skill progression, and quite a bit of combat, including biotic powers.

The skill reveal was particularly interesting, as it showcased the ability to change character class dynamically via the "Dynamic Profile System." Interestingly, purchasing new skill levels appears to unlock new profiles, that can then be selected on the fly to match the tactical situation.

BioWare's general manager Araryn Flynn explained that during the mission showcased in the trailer we'll learn about Peebee's background and about the "Remnant," which are the mechanical enemies you'll see below.

We also see a reference to another companion named Cora, who appears to be a female human, judging from her icon on the HUD. Unfortunately, she is never actually displayed.

Mass Effect Andromeda‘s release dates were announced today. The game will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st in North America, while European gamers will have to wait a bit longer, until March 23rd.
