President of EA Labels and Studios, Frank Gibeau, has confirmed in an interview with CVG that Casey Hudson, former Exectutive Producer and Project Director of the Mass Effect franchise, is currently working on the company's newly-acquired Star Wars. The only game confirmed to be in development so far is a next-generation iteration of Star Wars: Battlefront, which was confirmed in a very brief teaser at EA's E3 2013 media briefing.

Casey Hudson served as EP and Director of the Mass Effect franchise starting with 2007's Mass Effect, 2010's Mass Effect 2, and concluding with 2012's Mass Effect 3. Hudson was also a part of the downloadable content campaign that procedeed the release of Mass Effect 3 and concluded Commander Shepard's arc in the series. Hudson previously worked on 2003's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Mass Effect "4" is currently being developed by BioWare Montreal and will run on the Frostbite 3 engine. Star Wars: Battlefront is being developed by Mirror's Edge and Battlefield's developer, DICE.
