Last week’s Media Create hardware charts have been released (showing sales results from July the 8th to July the 14th), showing a very strong week for the previously shaky Wii U, thanks a strong debut of Nintendo’s Pikmin 3, that dominates the software chart, helped by a decent performance of New Super Luigi U.

Here is the detailed chart:

  2. Wii U – 22,199
  3. Vita – 15,662
  4. 3DS – 13,841
  5. PS3 – 12,698
  6. PSP – 5,830
  7. Wii – 1,434
  8. Xbox 360 – 396

For the sake of comparison, here’s what the chart looked like last week.

It’s also to be noted that Pikmin 3 launched on saturday, so the number is the result of only two days of sales. Here’s the full software chart (new games released last week are bolded):

Will it last? We can only hope, but for now someone at the top of Nintendo’s ivory tower is probably toasting with a cup of sake.
