This week, PS Vita manages to steal the top spot for hardware from 3DS on Media Create, which hasn’t happened in quite some time. Meanwhile the PS4 has maintained sales from last week, however they are still poor. It remains to be seen whether the release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn had any effect on system sales. The Wii U isn’t faring well either, with even lower sales. The Famitsu predictions may show that 3DS sold more, but keep in that Famitsu bundles all versions of the 3DS together, while PS Vita is only combined with the very low selling PS Vita TV. I suppose we’ll see which analyst was correct when officials charts hit.

Titanfall for Xbox 360 debuted in ninth for Media Create and seventh place for Famitsu with a disappointing 10-11,000 units sold; the game had no effect on Xbox 360 sales in Japan. In fact, sales are actually lower this week compared to last week. Super Robot Wars Z had a nice debut for both PS3 and PS Vita versions, taking the number one and two spots respectively. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes dropped from fourth to eighth place and from fifth to ninth, only selling about 11,000 units this week.
