In the latest behind-the-scenes video for Fallout 4, we get to see the real life dog that inspire the one that will faithfully follow you around in your journey to uncover the wasteland’s mysteries.

The real life dog is a German Shepherd owned by Lead Level Designer Joel Burgess, and Dogmeat isn’t the only companion you can have in Bethesda’s upcoming game. This isn’t the first time we see a development studio motion-capture a real dog, since Activision did the same in Call of Duty Ghosts.

Fallout 4 releases on November 10 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

My main and favorite thing to do in my life is play video games on my PS4 and admire the work that has been done in each game whether it's an AAA or an indie. Games are games no matter how many people develop it, it's the passion and hard work behind it. I am a crazy fan of Game of Thrones and love to read National Geographic magazines.
