Michael Phelps Kinect Game Coming. Seriously.

If there’s one thing we’ve all been lacking in our lives, it’s simulated swimming in our living rooms. 505 Games is changing that by releasing a Kinect game starring legendary swimmer Michael Phelps, titled Michael Phelps: Push the Limit. Yeah. Seriously. Michael Phelps said about the game;

“Push the Limit is a fun, innovative, and physical way to game that is complete with elements that will challenge serious gamers, swimmers and casual fans.”
“I’m really excited to help bring a one-of-a-kind swimming video game to the market that is reflective of my competitive nature and passion for swimming. This definitely isn’t your typical video game; much like my training in the pool, Push the Limit is about improving and mastering every race element – from controlling your adrenaline on the block to perfectly timing your finish.”

This is…weird. Really weird. Dancing games, OK. Skateboarding, fine. Fighting? Brilliant. How are you going to simulate swimming in front of the Kinect camera in your living room though? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. This is probably going to be the best party game of all time.
