Microsoft Announces Schedule for Gamescom 2015; Reveals Several Games to Be Shown at Event

E3 2015 has only just ended barely over a week ago, and yet Microsoft is already prepping for a big showing at this year’s Gamescom 2015 in August by revealing its schedule and a few of the games that we can expect to see in Cologne, Germany later this summer.

Over on Major Nelson’s blog, Microsoft revealed that the company’s Xbox briefing at Gamescom 2015 will take place on August 4th, 2015 at 4pm CEST, with the event to be broadcast on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Phone, and through Xbox.com.

The blog post also detailed that Quantum BreakScalebound, and Crackdown will all be making appearances at this year’s Gamescom 2015, as each of these titles were previously announced by Microsoft due to their exclusion from E3 2015 this month. The post also mentions to expect appearances from several of Microsoft’s biggest titles coming this holiday season to also be playable on the show floor, including Halo 5: GuardiansForza Motorsport 6, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Wednesday, August 5, 9:00a to 7:00p CEST (Note: this is for press/trade only)
Thursday, August 6, 10:00a to 8:00p CEST
Friday, August 7, 10:00a to 8:00p CEST
Saturday, August 8, 10:00a to 8:00p CEST
Sunday, August 9, 9:00a to 6:00p CEST

On a final note and continuing from the “Xbox FanFest” event that took place during E3 2015 to draw in the general public to the event, Microsoft will also be bringing a similar FanFest event to Gamescom from August 4th through Wednesday 5th, allowing Xbox fans exclusive access to game demos and more during Gamescom: more details for the FanFest event there will be detailed soon.

Gamescom 2015 will take place in Cologne, Germany from August 5th – 9th, 2015.
