Microsoft has just joined the lucrative business that is Android gaming. The corporate giant released its first Android title today: Kinectimals, a soft and cuddly addition for your cell-phone gaming experience. Kinectimals takes place on the lush island of Lemuria, where players will discover and care for a cub of their own. Initially, Kinectimals for Android will have cheetah, Bengal tiger, black panther, African lion, and African leopard cubs, but purchasing Kinectimals for the XBOX 360 will unlock five new cubs for the Android version.

Additional cubs can also be unlocked via both gameplay and, for the XBOX 360 version, purchasing of the bear cub DLC.

Kinectimals is reportedly just the beginning for Microsoft's expansion into the Android market. In January, the company hired a cross-platform game development specialist to assist them in their ventures into the platform. For now, though, if you're interested in snuggling your own little cub on your Android phone, Kinectimals is available for $2.99 at the Google Play store.
