According to the newest earnings report for the second quarter of fiscal year 2014, released today by Microsoft, the company has shipped 3.9 million Xbox One units. This figure isn’t related to units sold to customers as the report specifies that they have been sold “into the retail channel,” which is basically the only number that matters for what earnings reports are concerned.

In addition to that we also learn that the company shipped 3.5 million Xbox 360 during the quarter, which is definitely a solid number in three months for a nine years old console.
