Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor’s PC Requirements Have Been Revealed; Are Kind of Demanding

on April 7, 2014 4:14 PM

The upcoming Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be coming to last gen and current gen consoles as well as for the PC. If you’re a member of the master race and were thinking of picking this game up, then you’ll be interested in seeing what’s required to run it on your machine.

Here are the minimum and recommended requirements:

Minimum:

  • OS: 64-bit: Vista, Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-750, 2.67 GHz | AMD Phenom II X4 965, 3.4 GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 | AMD Radeon HD 6950
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 25 GB available space

Recommended:

  • OS: 64-bit: Win 7, Win 8
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3770, 3.4 GHz | AMD FX-8350, 4.0 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 | AMD Radeon HD 7970
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Hard Drive: 40 GB available space

Now, I’m no tech-head or anything but the recommended requirements seem pretty demanding. Given the game’s graphics and its Nemesis System I’m not too surprised though.

Can your machine run this game or do you need to upgrade?

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will be released on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 7.
