Today, developer Monolith Productions and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a new story trailer for the upcoming and highly-anticipated Middle-earth: Shadow of War.

Being a story trailer, the trailer obviously highlights the game's story. Mores specifically, it showcases Talion and Celebrimbor as they use the power of the New Ring to forge an army and confront their enemies, including Sauron and his Nazgul. The new trailer also features a host of new allies, villains, and creatures that The Bright Lord will encounter throughout the game.

For those that don’t know: Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set between the events of The Hobbit  and Lord of the Rings. Further, it is an open-world action RPG that continues the original narrative of Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor, one of 2014’s most popular games among both gamers and critics.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to launch for Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro, on October 10, 2017 worldwide following a recent delay which moved it out of its original August release. (it’s unclear if it will launch for Project Scorpio on these dates, because Microsoft’s upcoming console still doesn’t have a release date).

The game is available across three different special editions (not including the standard edition) and notably also has DLC planned. If you decide to pre-order the game -- on any platform -- you will receive the Legendary Champions War Party and the exclusive Epic Sword of Dominion.
