Notch has released the changelist for the upcoming Minecraft update, Beta 1.6 and it's a doozy. The amount of bugs being fixed is simply astounding, so while this one may be a little light on the features it's not a small update by any means. The update is expected to drop Wednesday, but will definitely be out sometime this week.
- Added craftable maps
- Added hatches
- Added tall grass in some biomes
- Mushrooms now spreads (very) slowly
- Made booster tracks speedier
- Blocks destroyed by other players in multiplayer now shows the breaking block particle effect
- Made booster tracks speedier
- Fixed submerged boats rising very very fast
- Fixed fire hurting through wall corners
- Fixed creepers retaining charge level when they can’t see their target
- Fixed fires being impossible to put out in multiplayer
This is just a small sample of what's being changed. I'm still very excited to be able to enter the Nether on multiplayer, but a lot of this sounds very interesting. Check out Notch's Blog for the full list.
