Minecraft has truly grown exponentially since the game's "official" release back in November 2011, and now nearly three years later, the game has hit some impressive milestones to be celebrated.

Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson confirmed via Twitter that since the game's launch on PC/Mac, Minecraft has reached a total of over 100 million registered users, with the game requiring players to register on the Mojang official website before buying the full version of the game or trying out the demo. In addition, Persson's tweet also mentioned that the stats include a 14.3% conversion rate of players going from the free/demo version of the game, to purchasing its full version.

Since then, Minecraft has sold over 14 million copies on PC and Mac, followed by 10 million on Xbox 360, over one million on PS3, and reports of over 10 million downloads of the Pocket Edition on iOS and Android.
