Revealed today on Sony Japan’s Playstation blog was the surprisingly excellent sales of Minecraft on Sony platforms.

According to the blog post, the title has sold 500,000 copies so far on Sony platforms and 200,000 of those sales come from the PS Vita alone.

These sales are impressive but isn’t surprising considering the low cost of the title and especially considering the popularity of the portable PS Vita in Japan.
