Telltale Games brought players into a new world of possibility with Minecraft: Story Mode, and in just under a week those looking to head back into the low-poly world of a story-driven Minecraft adventure will be able to do just that with the upcoming Minecraft: Story Mode: Season 2 with a new trailer.

Developer Telltale Games has released the official trailer for the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode: Season 2 (titled “Hero in Residence”), which has players returning to the world of Jesse and Co. as they embark on a brand new adventure filled with new dangers and possibilities. An official synopsis for the upcoming season can be found below:

Now that Jesse and the gang have vanquished the Wither Storm, saved the world, and become totally super famous heroes, life has gotten a bit more…complicated. With more responsibilities and less time for adventure, old friendships have started to fade — at least until Jesse’s hand gets stuck in a creepy gauntlet that belongs to an ancient underwater temple. Together with old pals and new comrades alike, Jesse embarks on a brand new journey filled with tough choices, good times, and at least one temperamental llama.

In addition to the new season of story and more, Telltale also announced that the Crowd Play feature from the studio’s previous games will be included in Season 2. Decisions and choices from the previous season will also be incorporated into the second season, though Telltale assured that Minecraft: Story Mode: Season 2 “will be accessible to both returning fans and newcomers alike.”

Minecraft: Story Mode: Episode 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android on July 11th, 2017 – for a closer look at the upcoming season, you can check out the new trailer and several screenshots below:
