Modern Warfare 2 Breaks Sales Record

Anyone with common sense and some knowledge in gaming could have prophesied the ridiculous day one sales of Activision’s tasty title Modern Warfare 2. How good is it? Well, let’s put it this way – the day one sales that Rockstar had with their Serbian superstar Niko Bellic’s 3.6 million sales in Grand Theft Auto IV has been exceeded by Modern Warfare 2, which holds a hefty 4.7 million in day one sales in North American and UK alone. That’s a pretty big margin, don’t you think?

Even with the little rough patches currently plaguing PS3 online play, the game continues to sell incredibly well. It was one of the most anticipated titles of the year, so why wouldn’t it? I haven’t got my fix of Modern Warfare 2 yet because I’ve been waiting for mine in the mail for ages already. Joel, Al, Rob, Evan – all of you who have gotten the game already and are online having fun can kiss my ass. Yes, I’m envious.
