Monster Hunter Movie in the Works

Word has it that a full-fledged film based on the immensely popular Monster Hunter action RPGs may be on its way. Director Paul W.S. Anderson, who’s credited on video game based movies such as Mortal Kombat and Capcom’s own Resident Evil, has disclosed that a Monster Hunter film adaptation is in “planning”. Considering the style of the MH games, I’d be surprised if this project ever saw the light of day. That would probably be for the better too, considering how often game-movies suck.

If a movie actually did happen, I see it being akin to something like Jurassic Park with a lot more awesome. Think this has a snowball’s chance of getting the green light?
