Last week Monster Hunter Portable 3rd hit the PSP in Japan and fans formed lines that trailed on for blocks in order to get their hands on a copy.

Today we see the result of that dedication in the amount of units shipped; a staggering two million copies in just five days. It may not be as successful as Pokemon's two and a half million copies sold in just two days, but it is certainly nothing to scoff at.

Clearly, the Japanese really love their monsters and their hunting. There is currently no confirmed North American release for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
