Today, Capcom announced that it is bringing Monster Hunter XX to the Nintendo Switch.The news came via the following tweet:

According to Capcom, Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. will receive more information at Monster Hunter Championship 2017, which is poised to take place on May 27th. You'll be able to watch the event for yourself and get the information as its announced live via YouTube and Fresh. The event begins at 12:00 JST and will include a Japanese release date.

As you may know, Monster Hunter XX was first announced back in October 2016, and was released in Japan on the 3DS in March 2017 (it has yet to be announced for the west). An expanded version of the action role-playing game Monster Hunter Generations, Monster Hunter XX has sold nearly 1.5 million copies at retail alone. However, according to Capcom, its initial sales were "unsatisfactory."
