Monument Valley Receives Final Piece of DLC, Money Raised Supports Charity

Get ready to dip back into the lovely art of Monument Valley on your mobile devices, as developer ustwo has released what it is calling the “final chapter” of DLC for the game. The new Ida’s (RED) Dream DLC is priced at only $1, with all funds being donated to charity.

The new DLC is available now through December 7th and supports RED, a charity dedicated to fighting for an AIDs free generation. It’s a worthwhile cause to donate to, and a $1 donation can make you feel good about yourself while also netting you some new levels and a red outfit for Ida at the same time. Don’t own the game? Now is a great time to pick it up, as its $4 cost will include the RED DLC and all go to support the charity.

Curiously, this new DLC is coming shortly after several one-star reviews have plagued the game for adding a $2 DLC called Forgotten Shores. The negative reaction to additional paid content is a bit unusual considering its quality, but may be attributed toward mobile users unwillingness to pay for add-ons to games. Regardless, I hope that this new DLC is received well considering the noble intentions behind raising awareness to a great cause.
