With the release of Mortal Kombat XL on PC slated for later today, NetherRealm Studios prepared for the occasion by  rebalancing their popular fighter yet again on all platforms. While a detailed Kombat Kast showed off a lot of the incoming nerfs and buff, the extensive full list of changes was published on WB Games' site.

While the four 'newkomers' from the last Kombat Pack (Alien, Leatherface, Bo Rai Cho, and Triborg) received the most tweaking, characters such as Jacqui, D'Vorah and Goro were heavily retooled as well.

And in a small note that will be good news to some completionists out there, additional costumes for the main game will now be available from just owning the Mortal Kombat X app rather than meeting certain requirements for unlocking them.

As the XL version of the bloody series finally comes to PC after months of dragging behind the console versions, it probably marks the final patch for the game. It's sad to think that there most likely won't be a Kombat Pack 3 but having a fighter supported for 18 months after release is still impressive. Here's hoping that NetherRealm's future games will continue this trend of making their games stay relevant for a good amount of time.
