After weeks of new character reveals and exciting looks at the game's story mode and brutal Fatalities, Mortal Kombat X is just one week away and a new launch trailer is here to celebrate all things "mortal" and "kombat."

Released through the official Mortal Kombat X YouTube channel, the launch trailer is an energetic and brutal look at what lies ahead in the latest rendition of the Mortal Kombat series - all thanks to a perfect song choice in System of a Down's "Chop Suey!".

Mortal Kombat X releases for PS4, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android - the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be released later in 2015. In the meantime, you can check out the game's launch trailer below:
