Raiden V is the latest episode of the glorious Raiden series of bullet hell shoot 'em ups, and it's going to be released in Japan tomorrow... exclusively on Xbox One.

It's not surprising that the good folks at the local site Inside Games asked Moss Founder Toshinobu Komazawa the reason behind this choice of platform.

Komazawa-san explained that there was a strong affinity between the concept of the game and the features and cloud functionalities of the Xbox One. On top of that, there was a strong request from Microsoft for this kind of title.

Komazawa-san also "strongly feels" that, since Raiden IV was first released on Xbox 360, it's important for Moss to support the shoot 'em up fans on Microsoft's platform.

One thing is for sure. It'll be interesting to see if Raiden V will be one of the few Xbox One title making it to Media Create's top 20 on Wednesday.
