In recent news, a young boy, the age of eleven, received inappropriate content from a yet undisclosed character on Microsoft's Xbox Live service. The mother of the boy, a Ms. Garcia, contacted Xbox Live regarding the matter and shortly thereafter contacted the police. She then filed a complaint.

In outraged mother fashion she gathered that the blame should fall on Microsoft's Live service. She then proceeded to contact San Antonio's News Channel 9 about the matter, saying:

"When they are playing against their friends, it's a controlled environment, But when they join a party, it can be someone in Japan, Australia, anywhere in the world."

The common gamer knows immediately that the concerned parent could have prevented this had she known enough about the console. She will no doubt learn very soon (if she hasn't already) about the parental controls that were put in place specifically to cover MS's rear end on this kind of the thing. Because when your son is eleven, this kind of thing should concern you....I mean it is the internet.
