Today, Mexico-based developer Lienzo -- the team behind the recent Hunter's Legacy -- announced that its upcoming 3D indigenous action adventure game, Mulaka, is now coming to the Nintendo Switch in addition to the previously announced PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

On the back of this announcement, the developer also revealed that the game that has been in development since 2014 has been pushed back out of its Q4 2017 release window to an equally vague early 2018 window.

For those that don't know: Mulaka interestingly takes place in a part of the world not often visited by video games, northern Mexico, and is based on the rich indigenous culture of the Tarahumara, who are renowned for their impressive running abilities. In the game you embark on the journey of a Sukurúame – a Tarahumara shaman – "as you fight back the foulness corrupting the land, while drawing upon the powers of demigods."

Gameplay ranges from solving puzzles in low-poly enviroments inspired by real Sierra Tarahumara locations, to heated hand-to-hand combat with creatures pulled straight from the region's mythology.

Mulaka will be available at retail and digitally when it launches sometime early next year at undisclosed price-point. Below, you can check out a new trailer, which accompanied today's announcements:
